When Covid-19/Coronavirus hit, it dramatically changed how diabetes care and education was delivered and how diabetes healthcare providers practiced…and continues to. Medicare quickly instituted emergency waivers and providers adapted to delivering their services virtually. This was also true for the healthcare providers who train people with diabetes on insulin pumps/pods and other devices. As a regular contributor to Tandem Diabetes Care’s blog, I obtained and categorized a boatload of creative techniques, tips and tools from the CDEs/CDCESs who train and support people on their Tandem pumps. In fact, my colleagues shared so much useful content that I had to split it into two blogs which you can read here: Part 1 and Part 2.
