Q:Are there types of restaurants or types of cuisines that are healthier?

A: I'm often asked this question when interviewed by the media. One might jump to the conclusion that several Asian cuisines, such as Chinese, Japanese or Thai are the healthiest cuisines, whereas Mexican, Middle Eastern and Italian are less healthy. I don't believe this is true. What I believe is true is that it is possible to eat healthy at nearly any type of restaurant.

The key element is knowing what to order to keep the fat and sodium count down and limiting portions. Bottomline: you can choose to eat healthy in almost any restauarnt. The operative three words are you can choose. It's all about your choices.
